OBJECTIVES: understand and apply the formulae for the calculation of perimeter and area of rectangles, squares, triangles and parallelograms


Definition: 

Perimeter:   is the distance around a two-dimensional shape

OBJECTIVES: Learners will: Understand and apply the formulae for the volume of cubes and cuboids

The amount of 3-dimensional space an object occupies. Capacity For this example the volume is 4×5×10 = 200 units3







Units of volume include:

Metric: cubic centimetres (cm3), cubic meters (m3), litres

US Standard: fluid ounce, cubic inch, cubic foot, pints, gallons
